Started getting TensorFlow profiler error after CUDA update

Solved

The following worked for me (thanks, Jeremy@Lambda):

  1. In file /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-common-kernel.conf, opened with sudo, write
    options nvidia "NVreg_RestrictProfilingToAdminUsers=0"
  2. Run the command
    sudo update-initramfs -u -k all
  3. Reboot.
